I still like armstrongs Like I said in a previous post you can get them around 50 dollars on amazon right now. Thats only a hair more than gear wrench. And If you break them I bet you wont have to hop on one foot while singing the National Anthem backwards on the 5th Tuesday of the year to get it warranted.

Also Im a big fan of craftsman (buy selectively tho) Because I like the fact that anything I buy can be taken three min down the road and waranteed. Currently I have the thin profile full polish. Served me very well. Im about to get some of the premiums and make the thin profiles my home ratchets.

Thanks
Sean Scott

err...not. the gearwrench full polish 3/8 is $33. the swivel / roto head comfort grip is $38. the long, comfort grip, flex head is $47, but does armstrong even offer something comparable?

if you're willing to buy a set, the deal gets quite a bit better. the 1/4+3/8+1/2 full polish set is $70. the cushion grip 3 ratchet set is $93.

you may not like them because they're imported, but they do the job comfortably, for less money, and despite mrholeshot's warranty experience, others have reported no such problems. hell, i haven't had one of their tools break yet, and i have a crapton of them.

As stated here it is at only about 30 dollars more than the gearwrench. its us made. and made by dhaner (apex tool group) i have both the 1/4 and 3/8 flex head with compfort grip by gearwrench. They are nice wrenches but I broke my 3/8 one time and was sent back and forth from one company to the next trying to get it fixed. i finaly just robbed the parts out of my craftsman ratchet and waranteed it.

Im speaking from experience I do like my gearwench stuff but i pay the extra few bucks to get it made in the us.

This forum is evil.... so I ended up buying a bunch of ratchets today. I bought the 3/8' craftsman premium ratchet. It is nice! I stopped by lowes and picked up a 3/8's flex head for 20 bucks (knocked down from 30). Then I hit up autozone and got a 1/2 ratchet and 1/4 flex t(he good set before the great neck) in which I used 20 dollars off from my rewards. I also ordered some bag from cumberlandconcepts.com. I am pretty close to having a "travel" tool set.
