what a weekend...

well, for those of you that did not know, I left last wednsday for south texas... I was given my wifes grandfathers old tool collection... all I had to do was get to south texas from north iowa.... 2400 miles and about 300 bucks worth of gas and this is what i got in return

there are way to many pictures to through in a post, so i created an album for them....some of them are unique, some common but none are for sale...

and yes, we did spend some time with family and friends while there... so all of the trip was not just for tools lol,

Very nice -- you're a lucky man! Not only that you have a great family, but also the fact that they took the time to place the tools with someone who would take care of the collection in honor of the grandfather.

Most family tool collections get broken up and sold to the lowest bidder for a quick buck. That's definitely no way to honor the memory of a dear relative.

Your wife's family obviously values these family heirlooms.

for me, it helped that wifes grandmother is very close to eachother...and she also likes me.... most of the rest of family is also better off and more likley to say these are just old tools... not new enough kind of stuff..... would have been far less appreciative to them..... about the worst thing i got is the top tool box... apparently got dropped at some time and is bent and twisted.... am going to see if i can straighten it out this weekend

It is a nice little compressor, but not $300 bucks nice lol

it did come with 2 hoses and normal attachments though
