I think it looks longer as a triangle pointing west than northeast or southeast.

1/8"-27 Zinc Finish Hex Panel Nut
Diameter 1/8", Wrench Size 9/16"

Anyway, I also checked the catalog, and this other panel nut (part number 0147992) says Wrench Size 3/16" in the catalog, and 9/16" on the webpage.

Maybe that depends on how it's turned... ;)

1/8-27 NPT threads have a pitch diameter in the neighborhood of 3/8". A 9/16" hex sounds about right.

That's nowhere near in proportion to other panel or hex nuts in general. The picture is at least way off. Funny how anyone would rather believe a typo though. I don't particularly care, just thought it was odd.

But if that's your opinion, fine, anything's possible, like the same thing that takes a 15/16" wrench, why not... as long as it says that. I'm not an expert on the subject, it was more along the lines of "one of these things is not like the other". Panel nuts are weird anyway.

Words can be weird too. :headscrat See, that's referring to a panel bed frame, but I looked up weird!
