What about windows?

I've lined up a 16x7 1/2 insulated garage door with one row of windows. Any thoughts for additional windows? Building a wood shop 26x40x10 with 8ft attic trusses, the garage door on the gable end.

According to the philosopher Jagger, "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you get what you need."

Enough to get some natural light, but not so many that they use up too much valuable wall/cabinet/shelving space.

I used only 5, 16" wide by 4' high windows in my 24x40 shop, and all except for the one in the bathroom, they seem to be either in the wrong spot or in the way of something.

I'd rather not have windows in my garage /shop. The house garage has windows in the overhead door that allow light in but nowandering eyes unless they stand on something. Same with the walk in door, it has a half moon window in the top, you can see in slightly but you won't see much.

Some people like windows while others don't, generally to keep the riffraff from seeing in or breaking in.

I've got a window at my bench. While the view isn't of towering snow capped peaks or of a lake, it is quite pleasant to gaze outside as I work at my bench and see the sun, the rain, birds, deer, my dog, snow or whatever. I would not want a windowless box considering the amount of time I spend in there.
