I could have guessed that this poll would be skewed to the younger generation just because they are more apt to hang out online, but I wasn't expecting it to be that much. I have arthritis in my fingers from playing drums and working on junk old cars. My left thumb is worse than the rest, sometimes it does not want to work. I look at the bright side, I'm right handed, but it still ***** to be betrayed by your own body part. And why the hell is it my left thumb, it has the least amount of callus and scars!

55 in November, up until the age of 53 I felt like a million bucks. Went to the gym 4-5 days a week, now it feels like someone dropped the anchor.

I saw an old woman at the car wash the other day, she was sitting and when she got up she had a grimace on her face like she was in pain. She saw me watching her and I gave her a knod and said "Growing old isn't for sissy's, is it?" She looked at me and smiled. i hope I made her day.

I turn 48 in a month. I don't actually 'feel' that age , I occasionally would see people I graduated high school with and 20 years ago they looked OLD somehow I still have escaped that curse. However , since I have started feeling senile at times I don't remember when I started feeling "old , grumpy and disgruntled ". One of my co-workers tells people I've actually mellowed in my old age , to which I always respond " I'm pissed off every day, some days I just hide it better than others. "
