I just used the "insert link" button. I don't know if the same formatting will work in a signature.

I just tried it and it does work. Just go to your user control panel and the "edit signature" section. Just click the "insert link" button, paste your link and follow the instructions.

No. you only need the direct link to the thread, not all that other HTML stuff.

How do I make it appear as simply "My Workbench Thread" Instead of the whole http:\\yadayadayada ****?
I thought that was what all the ,a href stuff was for....

I do not want it to look like below. as in what you are showing.

I am trying to make a link as in what stephen9666 did in the second post of this thread.

I can't seem to make my editor do that.
I am going to go to a Windoze machine and see if it comes up with a different set of tools when you click on "create link"

When I click on the "Insert Link" button (Globe with chain link on it), and paste in the URL in the box, it simply shows up like this:

It's just a click-able URL.

I am trying to figure out how to make it let me build a "LINK" as in what stephen9666 did up above in post #2, and thousands of people here have done in messages, signatures, etc. So that I have a short text like "My Build" that is linked to the url, hiding it from view and looking much cleaner.

Steve, try this. Type your link title (link thing or in your case bench build) highlight it then click the insert link icon and past in the url in the box. I worked for me just now.

Cancel what I said about following the instructions, I was confusing this with another forum.

Here's what you do:
-Click the insert link button
-Paste link
-Click OK
-After you click "OK," the code will appear. The part that's highlighted will be what is displayed when you're done. Change the highlighted part to "My Workbench Build"
