Hopefully this one is better....if not its a picture of a ended ebay auction for a Herbrand telescoping magnet that sold for $36 plus shipping. Says there was 7 bidders, I'm lost on this one, that tool is a $3 flea market tool, can't understand how it sold for $36+

Well, part of the price is because it's a Herbrand, and not a $3 chinese dollar store tool.
Another part of the price is the auction mentality.

It's a $3 flea market item if you have a flea market near you and it has that particular item. Collector's can't collect what they can't find.

Maybe I'm just lucky then to live within easy driving distance to 3 flea markets. All the telescoping magnets in this picture have been bought at said flea markets in the past 2 months, they include, 1 Blue Point, 1 Mac and 2 Ullmans, one of which has the same cross hatch pattern on the handle as the Herbrand original mentioned. I paid less than $5 each for these, the Ullmans I paid $3 for, this is where I'm getting my price from. Just thought it was kinda crazy to see one sell for $36....understand about collecting, I do a little of that myself, still I'm surprised at the price
