My old Paslode framing nailer finally died and I need to buy a new one. What's the significance in the head angle in a framing nailer? They seem to vary from ~20 degrees to ~45 degrees. Will be using it for typical DIY construction. Not sure which one to buy. Appreciate any input.
Thanks

The nails have to match the angle of the gun. Some brands might interchange if both brands are say 37 degrees. That way you can have a bigger choice of nails and sources for the nails. The higher the angle the easier it is to toe nail and get the head in tight places for nail placement. If you have a lot of nails/supplies left over you might want to consider keeping the same brand.

Some degree nailers only shoot clipped head nails, that could be a problem if your project has to be inspected by an official.
