I was reading an article I found on GJ about =V= series Cman wrenches, and I came across the description in the first photo below of a "paneled" wrench. The only difference between it and the wrenches shown previously in the article is that the box end is angled slightly. The author also refers to the raised panels engraved with the logo and "Forged in U.S.A." but doesn't identify these as "panelled."

After searching for another explanation, I found photo two, which describes the set as "panelled for [a] firm grip." It's unclear from the illustration whether the box ends are angled.

Thank you for your help.

Raised panel is the full description. The middle part is a raised portion of the wrench. Series have nothing to do with it. Aka RP wrenches. Other wrenches I believe that had these are easco, new Britain, SK, Napa, and a few more.

But those aren't "raised"; rather the shanks are recessed...

The really early ones were not raised, but my 1965 vintage OE are raised above the rest of the wrench. Interestingly, my 1966 vintage flare nut wrenches do not have the raised panel.
