If anyone works on alot of Dodge vehicles (specifically '05 Dakotas and Caravans) Could you tell me what are the most common size sockets and wrenches that you use. I want to start replacing my Craftsman raised panel wrenches with either Snapon or Craftsman Pros and would like to have an idea where to start. Money is tight so I may be completing a set one wrench at a tine, especially if I go Snapon. Or bid on individual wrenches on ebay.I also just got a 3/8 drive impact gun and need to buy sockets for it as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

13mm, 15mm (maybe), the best person to answer this would be deafautotech. He worked at a Chrysler dealership.

Watch ebay, I got a 1/4"-1" set of C-pro's for $45 shipped. Buying Snap-On individually, you can come out ahead, because Snap-On sets aren't any less than the individual pieces. HOWEVER, Craftsman gives a decent discount on a set vs. single pieces, so you're shooting yourself in the foot buying C-Pros individually.

Personally, I wrench professionally with C-Pros, and can't justify replacing them with Snap-On, even at used ebay pricing. The only difference is the Snap-On box end is thinner, which I have yet to see that become an issue, even on jets.

Thanks,

most of common sockets is metric as 8, 10, 13, 15, 18,19(lug nuts), 21, and 22. even 32mm or 1 1/4 for halfshaft or rear pinion nut on rear differential. i would recommend you to have flex sockets, shallow, deep sockets in 1/4Dr and 3/8Dr because it will make you more easier to do... some of fasteners are low torque rate so i used 1/4dr tools with 1/4dr torque wrench...
For the Torx is 20, 25, 30, 40, and 55. recommend to buy set. the 2005 Caravan's rear brake caliper bolts are 7mm hex which you need metric hex drivers set... (some of caravan use 1/4 hex driver to removed it but new brake hardware is 7mm hex driver...)

I will rather to return back to Chrysler dealership because my work ****!! only made like 2 or 4 hours a week!! i am miss the works on chrysler vehicles... i am heavy line technician and love it! i am hourly employee...

Yeah I discovered those 7mm hex bolts doing brakes on my parents' Caravan... it was real fun to track one of those down on a Sunday afternoon  Ended up having to buy a lame chinese set of like 8 sockets that cost $35... oh well :(

Sorry to hear about your new job Andrew!

Thanks to all for all of your help. I now have a place to start. I think I will be going with the Craftsman Pro wrenches. They have a great deal in the holiday catalog. I think its $169 for 28 wrenches. Again Thanks for you input.:)
