I use them as flexible conduit for the electric wires from the car pillar into the doors for power windows, etc.
Some fabrication ( lathe machining) is required to make the slider bushings. This has worked really well.
The driver's door has two flex spring conduits for the extra wires for the four window controls.
I much prefer the RIDGID instrument tube benders to the coil-springs for forming tube bends.

Thank you men. I do have some small copper tubing to bend and this will keep me from kinking it.
