there have been times I would have loved to have those
that said I would never rely on them for final torque or breaking loose

They're for making Proto collectors drool. I Haven't seen a set that big in a while.

You know it says "Company" too right? Tubing Appliance Company? The company? lol :willy_nil

I've got a couple of them; they're very well made. Tubing Appliance Company supplied the aviation industry, much of which was in CA. Apparently they were purchased by Proto sometime in the 50's.
