What are these for? They are marked S-K Tools and all have 6-point caps.
One is 1-14" wide at the top marked *1-14*. The other 4 are 1-1/8" at the top marked *7/8-14*,*3/4-16*,*13/16-16* & *5/8-18*. They they are all threaded and appear to be hammered on at the top.
An installer or maybe puller?
Any info would be helpful.
THANKS

Cap nuts. Mostly for putting over the end of an axle so you can pound the bajesus out of it without damaging the threads. Also used under the forcing screw of a heavy duty puller for the same reason.

There are no numbers other than those posted. I've tried looking them up. I'd like to find an old S-K catalog to thumb through. I'm thinking there from some time in the 50s maybe?

Good question, been meaning to ask the same. I've accumilated about 10 of them myself, and didn't know if I should keep them, or put them for sale and at what price? It would burn me to find out someone got a great deal at my expense.
Thanks!

Thanks. With your help I've learned that they are axle thrust nuts, used to protect the threads on small and medium axles while you pull the hub.
