I am referring to the angled supports next to the fellow near the ceiling. I want to tin and insulate the ceiling and insulate and finish the walls. How can this be made to look nice with these angles supports there, and why don't I see these on anyone else's shed?

The simple answer is, they've been proven to be ineffective in studies. And, in some real-life cases, they have shown to be detrimental to the structure due to transferring loads, such as a "vertical load" like snow. The loads transferred could be higher than what the truss was designed for (for example, due to wind) or the load could stress/displace the column.

I've seen framers use them temporarily during framing and remove them when the structure is sheathed.

As mentioned, check the plans. The trusses were designed for your particular weather conditions and, hopefully, reviewed by your local building inspectors for compliance.

Just because I like your answer, I'm going to believe you 100% and will most likely take them down....... Unless someone else can scare me enough not to.

Looks like there is a carpenter in that picture...what did HE say?

What's on the engineered plans?

Ard's comment is what I would do first. 100%.

I'm a guy that's been around and built stuff BUT I don't work for that business/builder or pay your insurance. Get some education on why they did that, first.

I just got off the phone with Menard's. They said I should keep them on until I plan to finish the ceiling. These knee braces will no longer be needed once the ceiling is finished.

That's good news to me :rocker:.
