What are these tools?

Going through my late Uncle's shop. He has a lot of vintage USA made tools. Does anyone know what type of tools this set is? They are Craftsman with no part numbers.

OK, makes sense. He built a long custom wood lather. He did automotive, machine, and wood work. Loved his shop.

I find it sad when people post what is it type questions because, it usually means someone cleaning out a deceased person's stuff.

It is sad and gives me perspective of when I pass… no one is probably gonna care about my tools (or other material possessions).

Hopefully these tools live on with the OP and he gets to feel the presence of his uncle.

Thank you for that. My Uncle did cherish his things. Folks are glad to have them. Makes me feel a lot better about passing them on.

I was lucky enough to get my uncles tools and box. Cousin lived 1/2 across the country and didn't really want to deal with it. Did not need any of it but couldn't let it go to auction or goodwill. He would have been so upset if that happened. Found some engine tools he offered to loan when I did my engine (decades ago) that I still don't have. Stored them for a few years and then mom had her barn fire and I took them over there for when I worked on her equipment. Been a godsend anytime I work over there. I'm sure he's resting easy knowing they're taken care of and still used.
