My grandfather passed about 2 years ago and i've slowly been going through some of the things I inherited. Some of this stuff I have no clue what it is or what its used for :dunno:

There will be more items as I get time to sort through some boxes.

Third one looks like an early version of those grabber sticks people use to grab stuff they cant reach. But they were likely built for a specific purpose in mind.

Yeah, I was going to say that the first one is a clamp, usually used for woodworking. They are great for clamping things to the workbench. The second are common turnbuckles that you can get at a hardware store.
I have no idea on the other two. What kind of work did he do?

He was into wood working and collecting odd old tools. As soon as I hit the new 100 post count requirement, this stuff will be in the f.s section looking for a loving home as some of this stuff does me no good. :(

Just trying to figure out what i've got.... boxes and boxes of stuff.

FYI, turnbuckles are sometimes called bottle strainers. They're used for tensioning wire ropes.

The last thing is very strange!

Can the last 2 images be turned 180 please?

I've got dizzy doing a handstand.

Looks like a stretch and hold device, leatherworking?

Is the last item a shoe or boot stretcher? Looks like it has a rack where the finger would engage to hold it in position...
