What are these worth?

Hello, I purchased a home about a year ago and am in the process of cleaning out the barns which used to be a machine shop. There are a few machines in there that I am looking to get rid of and would like your input on what they are worth before putting them on Craigslist. 1 is a Doall vertical band saw, the other is a Buffalo No.18 drill press and lastly I have a Johnson horizontal band saw. Now these machines probably have not been used in years and probably will need gone through, not even sure if they are operational, just would like to get them out of my way as I don’t need anything that big. Depends on where you are located...
If you are near me they are worth $20 each and I would gladly come get them out of your way.

It really does depend on the area you are in and how many people are looking for that type of equipment. I’m seeing items that will go for $100 to up to $500+ assuming you can show they work and they are complete

Since you haven't got much traffic on this, I'd hazard a guess. As said, depends on where youa re located.

In your circumstances, I'd post them up for $100 each. If they don't sell in a week or two, you're too high. If they do, they're gone and out of your way. At that price, if they're good they'll sell, and you won't have to fool around with checking them out, guaranteeing they work, etc.

If you see working on them as something you want to do, you can research them, clean them up, get them running and maybe get a few hundred out of one or more of them.

I am located in Lafayette, Indiana. Thank you all for your replies. If they are not going to be worth a whole heck of a lot I might just end up loading them up and selling them for scrap and be done with it.

I'd hate to see that DoAll go to scrap. They made good saws. Hopefully someone can save 'er!

Those are all good quality machines, and while they will need cleaning up and tuning/repairs should be desirable. Please try selling them before you scrap them. The DoAll saw would sell fast around here for $300, and machinery is relatively easy to come by around here, not sure how much is available where you are.

Better to sell them for scrap price to someone, than to actually scrap them.

You may not get rich selling them but you'll surely get more than scrap value. Make it worth someone's while and they'll even load them up. Easy fun money for you.

That Do-All is definitely worth $200-$300. The buffalo and Johnson ought to bring $100 or better. Put up an ad and see who bites. There's always some crazy kid out there searching for stuff. Heck I'm not a kid anymore and I still search around for stuff.

It's a shame to throw good old tools in the scrap pile. Just my opinion.
