Not home but I think they're too big.

Obviously well used but seem like they were made to slide right off. The weight of a socket would just make them fall off...

They look like clips that fit over the tops of engine rocker arms and block the spraying of oil coming up from pushrods. I have a set that I used for adjusting valves on an old 350 Chevy V8.

Ayuh,.... They're oil deflectors that clip onto the rocker arms to help cut down on oil splatter when runnin' a sbc with the valve covers off,....

Yer missin' a few, there shoild be 16 of 'em,....

I got them in a Mac box from a mechanic.
Another drawer had...wait for it...what looked like a hacked up SBC valve cover.

Mystery solved.

Yep oil diverters, I knew they looked familiar I bet I have a set around here somewhere in a old tool box................................
