What brackets to replace these rusty ones with? (Attached porch)

We are refinishing the porch and would like to replace these old, rusty brackets but I am coming up short on replacements.
First of all, the “2x4s” are actually 1 3/4 thick, so most brackets at home depot were too narrow. They also didn’t allow for the angle. Any suggestions for a replacement?

thanks!

What's your concern, the strength or the appearance?
I have a hard time believing that the surface rust has compromised the function, and the rust nicely camouflages the otherwise unfinished appearance of a shiny new galvanized hanger.
Besides the 1 3/4" is a no go anyway unless you happen to find a tji hanger that width, but most of them will be way too tall.

Thanks for the replies, I should have been more clear… literally half of the joists have hangars and half are simply toe nailed.

I “must” add hangars to the 8 or so that are only toenailed. I figured I’d replace the existing 8 to match while I’m at it. They’ve lasted 40 years toenailed but I just don’t feel right leaving them that way. They’ve really loosened up over the years.

Simpson makes some REALLY strong L Brackets. Take a look at their catalog.

Use screws or through bolt them on BOTH sides of the beam and the support, done.

It lasted how many years without extra support ? Add another fifty with the L brackets.

I F'n hate penny-pinching cheapskates

Simpson makes products that are slightly oversized for rough-sawn lumber. Here in CA you'll see it used on redwood decks. They have skewable hangers.

And get a palm nailer to add those missing nails.

Those joists are rough sawn. You need brackets for rough sawn lumber not regular dimensional. I have notched timbers to accept standard brackets before. rough sawn brackets are hard to find. Only need to remove about an 1/8" to make them fit.
