Hi everybody,

My buddy just came up with this floor jack at a flea market in Virginia. I know a fair amount about our classic floor jacks but I do not recognize this one. Can anybody identify the brand and model? There is no plate nor label anywhere on this jack. Thank you.

It was sold under a few brands, i believe it’s from the Coats/Watco/Drednaught line. I’m more familiar with the Weaver WA-67, Same jack design but different color scheme.

I’ll see if I can get you model number tomorrow, if memory serves there was 2 similar jacks. I don’t recall if the kits where the same.

Hiball,

I have read nearly all of you posts on floor jacks and I have no memory of ever seeing the "Coats/Watco/Drednaught line."

What is that? Weaver rebrands?

I don’t know the entire history behind the conglomerate. I just know they shared some product line amongst themselves here in the states and across the pond as well as some exclusive stuff. The jack in the picture might have even been a Ausco branded jack, I’ll know tomorrow when I get to the shop. Weaver didn’t have anything to do with the 66/67 design, they just put there nameplate on it to try and fill a void in there lineup.

Ok... So Your jack was marketed under the following 4 brands, Ausco, Drednaut, Dayton along with the fore-mentioned Weaver. On top of that there was two different variations, 1 1/4 ton and 1 1/2 ton, They do use separate kits FYI.

( Model numbers 1 1/4 ton then 1 1/2 ton)

Ausco part numbers are D-7200 and D-7400, Ausco is good about casting model numbers somewhere to designate series.

Drednaut models are 6-51200 and 6-51201

Dayton models are 5-51200 and 5-51201

Weaver Wa-66 and Wa-67

I found some scribbled notes from back in the day that Ausco was the OEM. I can’t verify, but makes sense.

I’d say that 1 1/2 ton model based off the D-745? stamped on the bottom of the handle assembly.

Winner-winner; chicken dinner for Hiball!

It must be an Ausco based on Hiballs response and on the attached picture. The number on the bottom of the handle assembly is D-7455 which suggests 1-1/2 ton.

Was Ausco USA made?

Thank you.
