What brand originally fit inside this case?

I need a somewhat compact set for stowage in my vehicle and for junkyards, the issue is needs to have a full range of metric and SAE deep sockets. Not stopping at 15 or 13 or whatever. I also don't want to buy another set, I already have plenty of stuff to go in there, I really just need a well organized cheap case.

I found this case that looks like it fits the bill. Yeah its cheap plastic junk but I can drill metal hinges and latches on it to add more rigidity. I did that on a plastic crescent case and worked great. They key is it fits all the deep 3/8 stuff.

My question is what brand originally fit inside? Anyone have any ideas? APEX is mostly the same but there are variations. Esp between US/ Taiwan /China COO as far as shape goes. I have a full set of later 2000s USA Craftsman I would like to put in there, but will they fit in the slots of the generic possibly later apex case?

I also have a pretty complete set of crescent that I could put in there if it is to fit the later stuff.

Namely, my guess is the ratchet slots are very form fit to suit whatever was originally to be in there. My guess is a RP craftsman isn't fitting in there. Maybe a Crescent?

Anyhow if anyone knows what brand originally used this case let me know. For $6 its just the cheap junk that I wouldn't mind trashing in a muddy junkyard. Anything more than that and it will be just another nice set left in the garage because too nice.

I guess my question is who humps that many deep sockets to a junk yard?:wtf:
did you see the open case picture on ebay? looks like round head ratchets to me :dunno:

I don't think that case will hold everything you want to carry:headscrat

Have you considered a rolling tool bag? just a thought. Good luck:beer:
