What can I expect from carpet layers?

Hey Fellas I am having carpet layers coming in the morning to install new carpet. I was wondering after they take up the old carpet will they run a shop vac over the floor? I took up a small piece to try to eliminate the squeaks and I was amazed at the amount of dirt that is under the old carpet. What should I expect?

any good installer will vac before and after
They will also scrape the old pad staples and install new tack strip in the bad spots.
There is no need to replace it all

my guess is a fast sweep and lay the new
