What color interior paint and why?

Hey everyone;

So I just finished the sheetrock work and need to decide what color to paint. I'm thinking gloss white walls and ceiling for better light reflection, gray trim and shelves etc. However I don't want the walls to look dirty all the time.

Also thought of using black near the welding area to minimize reflection but now that I am typing this it sounds stupid. I was in the Air Force and that was a thing lol.

What did you use to paint the inside of your shop and why?

Thanks

Re: Wat color interior paint and why?

I have always done gloss white on all of my shop walls and really liked it. I did that in my metal shop and garage and it came out great. Very bright. I thought I would get fancy in my woodshop and did the walls green, gray, and tan. It made it significantly darker. It does look nice, but I probably wouldn't do it again because I work in my shop and it being very bright really helps.

I went with a light blue on walls and ceiling. I don't like white as it just tends to show all the cobwebs, dust, etc.... I have plenty of light without worrying about reflecting off the walls. In my woodshop, I did T&G.
Cheers.

I started with a tan/brown walls and white ceiling.
I installed some white proslat on the walls, and am repainting everything gloss white.. it is so much brighter....
