What color tool box to buy?

I know color is a personal choice, but I'm looking for some feedback. I ordered a new 56" 21-drawer Montezuma box with side cabinet from Strictlytoolboxes.com, but the black box I ordered is on backorder until mid-March. I can go with a blue box which might ship next week, but I'm not sure about the color.

My original thought was to replace my white cabinets with black or black/grey so they would match my box. I can't decide if I'm better off trying to match the cabinets and tool box, or if it looks better when the box stands out a bit.

Anyone have an opinion?

Maybe you can re-paint your white cabinets to match whatever box you buy. Save some money to buy more tools.

I like black. Especially with polished or stainless trim. Just looks clean and mean! There's a reason the black is on back order. It's popular! I'd being willing to wait till the black comes in if it were my purchase.

Thanks for all the feedback. As was mentioned before, it only makes sense to get the blue one as it matches my eyes :)

This is probably the last tool box I ever buy so I don't want to get something I'll later regret. I had made up my mind on Black, but the backorder made me rethink things. My kids liked the blue better to start with, and the more I looked at it the more I liked it.

Shannon at Strictlytoolboxes just told me the blue outsells the black 3 to 1. I went ahead and made the switch so hopefully I'll have a new box in the next 10 days or so.

I have red, but only because it was a hand-me-down, personally I really like the look of the white with black trim, I've seen a few of those on here, and man they look sharp, IMO. If I had the money to buy a new big box that's what I'd get, sure it's harder to keep clean, but its like a black car, pain to keep clean but amazing when they're clean.

It brings out the blue in your eyes and matches your outfit MUCH better.

Doesn't matter what color you buy but paint it pink with flowers as soon as you get it. That way if your garage gets broken into it won't be touched by thiefs.
All you need is to have another Dummy tool box that has some cheap stuff in it that they will take.

Something about red just seems right. However, I do dig the two-tone color combos of old vintage Craftsman and Remline boxes, like the various combinations of red/grey or red/black.

Should have gone plaid.

Of what they have, the blue looks best. And probably would go well with white cabinets anyway.

For some reason a blue box just reminds me of an old VW bus. I know...:headscrat
