What company made these impact sockets?

Back in the 80's I was at picapart ad I broke a craftsman 5/8 chrome socket on a Chevy head bolt. No wanting to leave the heads I went to the tool truck in the parking lot and bought his metric socket set for $5 just go it's 16mm socket.

I figured they would be a throw away set

I have used them every day ever since. They can't be scratched or worn out! We have all seen how a worn impact socket looks. These never change.

Made in Taiwan. Undeniably the best sockets I own

Start breaking it down. What year was it? Where were you? What tool trucks were in that area back then? Which ones sold Taiwan tools? Did you buy anything else? Etc etc.

I would see sets like those at the traveling tool shows that used to come to town but I can no longer remember the name. Some of the worst tools were the buffalo name but they had lots of different names.

1985ish and it was a no name truck in picaparts parking lot.
