What about a central vacuum unit? That could be cool
I'm not a fan of central vac systems used in the garage. Different types of debris....not sure you'd want oil laced speedy-dry clinging to the the inside pipes of your central vac system. Suction from a shop vacuum with a 10-20' hose is typically greater, 85-95" of lift (lower static pressure) and clogged hoses are much easier to deal with than those with a plumbed central system.
Spend the money on a good shop that can be used for woodworking, auto cleanup, construction debris, etc. Recommended brands are Festool, Fein, Alto, Stihl, Kranzle. These are all machines targetted to the contractors and pro's....better quality than the typical consumer grade machines. SD
