It's cool seeing the stuff you guys got!

I got some cool stuff too (very fortunate!), so I'll show it....

My Challenger Project photo (that I used in the "Garaegs at night" thread) blown up and framed:

A new watch collection (I love watches!):

Some garage-stuff, including new LOGO'd hats!! Mrs E-tek was also trying to put together a logo for E-tek Restorations, using my 46 MErc truck, but ran out of time. I'll help her finish it now and put it on some coveralls, T-shirts - and my 46 Merc doors!

...as well as some things Mrs. E-tek said she may show me next "date-night"!!

a massive headache.

been listening to wife, SIL, niece, 2 stepkids, and 2 dogs for hours.....

at least it was a little quieter on xmas day.

wasnt much gift giving, or receiving this year.
been a bad couple months just trying to pay bills, and have food on the table.
stepkids bought me 6pairs of wool socks, and some footwarmers to try to keep my feet from freezing.
wife bought me 2 new tshirts.

just glad my stepson got to come up and spend a few days with us.

Couple of relatives gave me Sears giftcards which along with a little cash bought a new rolling tool box which is supposed to be in the store on Thursday for me to pick up. Also received some Home Depot, Lowe's and Visa gift cards. Favorite present (to me from me) was a Toro PowerClear 221QE snowblower. It was just what I've always wanted. Too bad it's supposed to be near 50 and raining by the end of this week so it will be a little while before I get to try it out.

Amazon is great, we didn't have a lot of money to throw around this year, just bought a house, so we both made wish lists on amazon and I got the wiha sets and a seiko watch.
Its great! Defiantly going to do something similar next year, that way I she knows exactly want I like or want, and don't have to guess.

The whia sets are really nice, the magic ring feature is really nice, it just snaps in and holds well, will be very usefull when the time comes. The overall build quality is very nice especially for the price!

Sorry to hear about the tough spot man...

At least you got what you appreciate and appreciated what you got - that's the most important part, isn't it?

yep sure is e-tek

strange thing is, i dont expect my stepkids to buy me anything, but even when they were very young they would all get together and pool whatever money they had, and get me something.
even if it was a $2 keychain. :)

they stopped getting their dad anything, when he stopped getting them anything.:wtf:

i cant even begin to understand why a father wouldnt buy his kids something, anything for xmas. he wonders why the oldest wanted to move out the day after she graduated HS, 2nd kid moved out shorty after she graduated HS.
sounds like the youngest wants to do the same in 2 years when he graduates. he was asking (hinting) to us, if he could stay with us after graduation.
the year i met the old lady, we were living 1300 miles apart, i sent her some money and a few (small) things for her to give to her kids, so they would have something from her.

40 pounder of Appleton rum, pocket knife and a Milwaukee circular saw.

We decided to focus on the kids rather than adults so our gifts weren't really surprises (in fact, I picked up the circ saw while she gassed up the van).

Biggest present I gave myself was emptying the basement of all of the misc **** (baby stuff, mostly, but also old couches, end tables, etc) that had piled up down there. Sick and tired of looking at it and those who'd said "Sure, we'd love to take that, can you hang onto it for a little while?" never show up to collect it. Sold a couple of things, the rest went to consignment, Sally Ann, pawn shop or the dump. The kids now have a nice open area for playing and goofing around and my workout area also similarly increased in size.

The Mrs. and I bought our selves a new couch and loveseat. These are the fourth and fifth pieces of new furniture we have acquired in 36 years of marriage. We also purchased a new computer as the old one is 7-8 years old and starting to make noise. We hope all the GJ family enjoyed the holidays.

Santa brought me the Dewalt 12vMAX set first, then the Father-In-Law brought me the Milwaukee M12 set.

Think I'm pretty stocked up on 12v Li-Ion tools....

I am very excited to show off my christmas present from my wife. she had my dad out looking around and found this for me. I have been wanting one for a long time but never really considered buying one. this is a 97 and it works awesome.

DSC00097.jpg

This I bought for my daughter but it is kind of for me as well. it is a total control power rack and pinion conversion for her 67 mustang. I will enjoy putting that on this spring but I have to save up for the upper and lower control arms first.
she actually has no idea really what this is so it will be fun to have her help me install it.
