Ok so I bought a used tool box, put in a bid on a work table, and spent way too much on a tool box full of junk tools. I tool all the junk wrenches in to cash america and they gave me enough store credit to buy more craftsman stuff

HF earthquake 3/8" air ratchet and 1/2" impact. They appear to be extremely well made and are made in Taiwan instead of China. I've heard nothing but good stuff about them.

A set of K-D Tools U.S. made open end metric wrenches and some drill bits. When they arrive, I'll post them in the "Show your new tool arrivals" thread.

A 12 inch Crescent brand crescent wrench. I did not realize until I got home that they are made in China now. Side by side comparison to other sizes of the same wrench made in USA did not reveal any actual flaws in either. The font and logo have changed so even though not marked "made in China", it is easy to identify the non USA made ones. Time will tell.

Also a small set (3mm-10mm) of Kobalt brand ball tip metric allen wrenches. Made in Taiwan. The 4mm performed well yesterday, the rest have yet to prove themselves.

Bought 1/4" and 3/8" Pittsburgh Pro composite ratchets from Harbor Freight (used 20% coupon, 2 trips through), received 2 Cen-Tech VOM's free. Couponed up via Slickdeals Harbor Freight coupon thread. The "smell" hit me 10' outside the door but those composite ratchets appear to be an excellent value.

A really nice older Craftsman set. (maybe 154 piece) I'm not sure how many piece but its 3/4, 3/8/, 1/4 and it has repeating 6pt, 12pt, deep and shallow sets, wrenches and allen bits. It's only missing 3 sockets... So at $11 I think I scored :)

Over the past couple days I've bought a snap on 3/8 metric and sae swivel impact socket set and a 3 pack of Matco silver eagle rebranded kiwi pliers on eBay. Today I (actually my wife) bought a Tim Hortons coffee!

Nothing... got enough **** in my barn right now, including a small bin of screw machine parts and stuff like that.

Got enough tools to make the average joe jealous. I'll get more tools later... :D

So far:
A 3/8 drive USA made Proto ratchet from here. That will replace the Taiwanese one in my garage tool chest.

4 Piece 3/8" drive Craftsman extension set, USA made. That will also replace the Taiwanese set in my garage tool chest.

Just a few more things to replace with USA made stuff now.

Edit:
New additions from this evenings ebay browsing:
14MM & 15MM Made in USA Craftsman long handle combination wrenches.

Re: What did you buy this weekend?UPDATED

Was back in the same store where I I bought the 12 inch Crescent wrench that was (unnoticed by me) made in China. Right there on the wall was a 12 inch Crescent wrench marked "Made In USA" just like all my others. Of course I bought the USA Crescent and will be returning the Chicom one tomorrow.

I was rummaging thru the clearance bin at our local Home Depot. I found a NOS package of 3 USA made Vice grips. (The good kind not the ones made from global components.) It said on clearance for 20 and some change. I went to ring up and it came out to 10 dollars.
