Today , after WAY too long I finally got my freakin Max Jax *******. It's been a long time coming. We kept having kids, and then the anchors wouldn't set, them time to epoxy , then time to get the thing assembled, build a shed, find fittings that leAked, find a fittig that stripped. Realize a four foot hydraulic hose on one side screwed into the cylinder and then the quick connect on the end of that hose, makes a great extension. Multiple trips to Tractor Supply on a Sunday to find they only have one fitting when you need two. My Dayton g 73 heater (Fahrenheat version) has been running nonstop for about 12 hours. Wonder what that'll do to the bill!!

Maybe next project will be to insulate the ceiling of my 2 car. Blown in seems to be the way to go for a drywalled ceiling.

Tomorrow , brakes on a Toyota for a family friend.

1. Organize the lube shelves
2. Brought in 2 Herman Miller cabinets. It's all metal except for the decorative wooden top; very high quality cabinet with slide in door.

Did some more work on my mobile work cart. Added a power outlet and then stripped the finish off bowling alley top. Required a lot of planing and sanding. Didn't realize how poorly the wood was joined together. It was a get it close then throw some self leveling finish on the top. How much time I have spent working on the wood top, I wish I just made my own.

Shot myself with a pneumatic staple gun!

I'm hanging insulation on the ceiling of my newly built 28ft x 30ft x 10ft 2-story detached garage.

I was holding the gun loosely in my left hand while simultaneously adjusting a ladder with both hands.

The gun was pointing up, didn't realize it but my thumb was over the end of the gun and I accidentally hit the trigger.

Buried a 3/8" wide by 1/2" long staple, to the hilt, in the fleshy part of the end of my thumb!

I pulled the staple out, christened my new garage with a half dozen big drops of blood, took a 5-minute break holding some pressure on the puncture wound, the bleeding stopped and I went back to work.

Not gonna do that again!

I think this is the earliest I've gotten something done it the garage. I played DD for my brother last night and I'll have to say waking up on the weekends without a hangover is pretty nice. Ha!

I welded up the ball in the bed so it quits beating me to death. It obiviously won't fold down anymore but with the fuel cell in the back there's not much room anyway.

I built wood pallet furniture for my grandfathers get-a-way cabin. I have to wait until it warms up a bit before I can put on the polyurethane.

Nice work Aubrey. I have used old cedar fencing material for years and have been thinking of moving toward pallets for my rustic furniture line. Do you have a specific tool(s) for breaking down your pallets? I did a youtube search late last year on pallet breakdown and am going to make my own tool for such purpose. How do you break them down?

Funny, I just broke down a wooden crate that i got from work to reuse the wood to make a rustic coffee table.

I got several other projects before i get to that one but it's some nice wood that I got for the project for free!

Today I cleaned the carb and replaced the vent line on my Polaris ATV. Then I took everything apart to see why it was no crank/no start.

Remember folks, it will only start in neutral. Doh...

Yep, it's a rim........

Made into a two piece rim......

To hold my welding leads on the big welder. The idea was to take advantage of the flanges ( old center of rim) to bolt directly to the welder. I think they stick out too far for the amount of lead that I have. I may cut down and weld a flat bar for mounting. I need to hold off a shade so panel can be removed.

Thanks. If you have ever tried to break down a wood pallet you know the planks usually break or splinter. I use a flat pry bar to lift the planks slightly than cut the nails with a sawzall. I remove the nails from the planks and set the other end of the nails with a punch.

Aubrey, thanks
I am thinking of fabricating one of these pallet busters. After seeing your fine work I may just get it done sooner than later. I alway seen to have someone trying to throw really nice pallets in the back of my truck.

pretty sure they will exchange the ratchet but....
I dunno about the other one, pretty obvious neglect on the users part
as that bar is supposed to be straight!
What do you guys think?

Used alot of WD-40, wire brushing and heat to crack old brake lines loose to replace a Proportioning Valve assm., under my sons Old Plymouth Mini Van.
I heard that -18 degree weather can make them freeze and cause them to leak.

Well, its going to be extreemly cold again this week.

I did the same thing to my sliding handle 3/8". The local sears stopped carrying it but they had sears ship me one. Showed up a few days later.

Sears usually doesn't question much. I once found a wrench that was clearly cut in half by a torch and they exchanged it no questions asked.

Holy ****, I would be ashamed to take that in for warranty. I know it would feel like a perp walk for me. I'd skulk in wearing a guilty look and think I had a big sign on my back saying "Tool User and Abuser"

Got a little upset this morning, already.

Found these 2 water marks on the wife's shelf, I put the last coat of polycrylic on it last night.

Then I found the culprit, high winds and fine snow.

It was kind of a sad weekend in my shop. I have had our sandrail for sale for a little over a month now but I had a guy show up with money in hand over the weekend. I am glad to have sold it to someone who I feel will enjoy it and seems to appreciate the workmanship but it was still sad to see it go.

Each tube I bent, each bracket I fabricated from scratch and each and every inch of weld was laid down by me. I feel like I gave it a soul and brought something to life. It was sad to see it drive off on someone else's trailer.

Replaced the brakes on the van. They were noisy but not that bad. Oh well hopefully this will solve the issue.

Also got to stain some of the toy box I am making. It probably wasn't warm enough tho.

Installed the engine on this year's ride (200cc)

Bad ***. Planes have always intrigued me even though I absolutely HATE flying. I had a neighbor many years ago build a plane in his garage and it was cool to see it come to life. I remember the final stage as he rolled it outside in his driveway to fit/install the wings. He moved before I ever found out if he got it in the air or not.
