Needed an arbor press, this popped up cheapish ($150) 5 minutes from my house.

Any easy way to distinguish between 1/2/3 ton units (arbor size?) The arbor is about an inch and a half square.

It needs a new anvil or whatever the little round part that sits on the base is called. Any good sources on those?

It has no markings, owner said it used to have a made in Taiwan sticker but that it's 30+ years old. Would have loved an old Dake or Greenerd but locally these things have been really hard to come by. I figured it's a pretty simple device and not a glamour tool.

Cheers,
Nathan

Standard old import.

Pull up grizzly and compare dimensions. That will basically tell you what tonnage it was sold as.

Pretty close to all of the 3-ton labeled units out there.

Ordered one of those daisy wheels from eBay. Thanks for that link. If I upgrade the press I'll likely transfer the wheel, they look like a nice upgrade from the cast iron ones that come with these presses.
