Hold down clamps and t-slot nuts and studs. Used on milling and drilling applications.

Yup, we have a set at work for use on the mini-mill with the slotted table. No one ever uses that thing anymore.

As others have mentioned, it's most often used for clamping tooling to a milling machine. The set is rather incomplete and not worth much to anybody besides as spares. If it's truly made in Germany, not just filled with cheap **** from China in a German labeled box, the steel is of better quality. That still doesn't mean much besides "nice spares". The T-nuts probably won't fit every machine either, most of them aren't interchangeable and require further machining to fit the slots in the table.

Out of curiosity what do you folks use at work for tool/work holding besides a vise (which could also be using them) if T-nuts aren't used?

The mini mill doesn’t get used, except as a place to place stuff when coming into the shop.

I have that set, which came with my Grizzly "small mill". I drilled and tapped a few M12-1.75 holes in my steel top workbench so I can use them there, too. I find I use them more on the workbench, for holding down in the middle of the top where clamps cannot reach.
