Okay, hopefully the title says it all, I am clueless when it comes to lighting and electrical stuff.

I would like to know what kind of lights I have and get feedback on the lights I would like to have installed.

Attached are some photos of currently what I have and the link for what I would like installed is below. Any suggestions on alternatives? I want LED's (I think). Any advice on how I determine how many I need?
Thanks in advance.

You have metal halide low bays of unknown wattage.

You do not want the lights in the link.

Just guessing but it looks like the building is about 12-14' so you should be looking at high bay fixtures with wide distribution. We need to know more about the building, dimensions and ceiling height, to give a recommendation on size and quantity.

Thanks Bert, you are correct, 14’ at peak. The shop is 40’ x 70’, however I have part of it finished in office/living/man cave type. Total space needing better lighting is 40x45

Is there any retrofit kit to covert these to LED or is it best to take them down and throw them in the garbage

You have low bay lights. They range in wattage between 175 to 400. It should say on a sticker on the top or on the lamp inside.
If you want to get rid of them, you need to decide what to do with the conduit system that powers them. Will you take it down or use it for something else? Or you can use it for new lights.
If you post your dimensions (H x W x L) in the "Best Light Fixture" thread and mention the type of work you intend to do in the space, you'll probably get a fixture layout and some good advice.
PS...in my opinion, the fixtures you linked to are garbage. The ad is funny though! "Other sellers are fake!" hahahahaha.....
Good luck!
