After cruising the site for a couple days I just had to join! After moving out of the condo the Mrs. and I are in a house. I find myself with a three bay garage and only two vehicles. What to do with the third? Workshop of course! Heres my question. I have accumulated so many tools over the years from my father (whos a diesel mechanic) and my father in law (whos a mechanical engineer). No matter the tools I still find myself scratching my head on regular maintenance wondering what do the professional mechanics use in the shop? I've set up a new 80g 5hp compressor that I got off Craigslist for $180. I've always bought Craftsman tools for the price and warranty, the hand me downs from both fathers are a mix of Snap-On and Matco.

Heres my question. Should I add a complete set of "good" flex sockets or what? Tell me what I should be looking to add guys, thanks!

I said the same thing to the wife! Told her it would be cheaper to put an extra car in the third bay and she said 'No Way!'. She'll find out after I start dressing up that third bay lol. I have all the tools I need and have never had to go out and borrow any specialty tool. Am I messing up going Craftsman? They've never let me down in the past, however I know they're not up the standards as Snap-On, Matco etc..
