Grabbed these up to do something when I noticed the odd faces.
Looks like your basic 8" slip joint pliers but are just odd!

Any ideas?

Had these for years just floating around. Actually rooted around in the shed until I found a heater hose with this clamp...works great.
And all these years I was just using regular pliers.

I know I have some other unknowns around here that I may ask about as they turn up.

Thanks

Bruce

The old days they were called hose clamp pliers. The clamps have two ears on them that fit in the grooves. Really work well.

What a hoot. It only takes a minuet to look up pliers on the web to find what they are. The internet is the best reserch tool the world has ever had or will have.

I have them also, as many others here I just used regular pliers years ago. Many puncture wounds from them too. Was glad to use screw clamps instead. But told not to use screw clamps on injection return lines from "T"s because they leak?

I've got a pair of Proto pliers like that, real life savers on those hose clamps.
