I'm curious, can you explain the psychology behind your question? Are you really trying to seek approval from others based on your tool box and tools? Cause to me that is how it comes off. :dunno: So what if someone says they think that is all **** (which it is most definitely not) will you just push it to the curb and start again? What if someone says it is pure gold? Will you feel accomplished in life? :dunno:

To me it looks like a very nice setup with some nice tools to start with. Good size box, I really like the drawer layout. Lots of thin drawers is my personal preference, just like that. The gold and black looks really slick. The only thing I don't like is the "rims" on the casters. Just too flashy IMHO. It is a tool box, not a show car. Other than that it is definitely a setup I would be proud to own.

Looks good to me. Just start looking at other's boxes to see what they have and what you could use. If you like doing front end work, then you need spreaders and ball joint tools. If you like electrical you need good crimpers, heat shrink, hot gun, etc.

Did I not see a mic or caliper in there. The cheap ones from HF are great to start with if you're not building rocket ships. Or hit CL and buy used Mitutoyo and Starrett.

But stand back a little, and zoom in using flash. It will create crisper photos. Too close with flash will just flash the photo. Stand back about 3 feet and zoom. My eyes are blurry now!:lol_hitti

I'm with Z, the wheels are a lil flashy but I like the layout. The black/gold looks good but not my style, and this is coming from a guy with a couple gold teeth in his mouth so please don't be offended. :lol_hitti

What brand are those funny looking speed wrenches that balane quoted?

If you haven't already got a set Irwin bolt grips are worth having, you won't need them often but when you do they're worth every penny.

I picked up that Lidl hex and torx set. Cheap but I used them on the Jeep at the weekend and they worked well. Not made of chocolate.

Clarke is like Clark. Machinemart stocks them, a bit like HF but not as cheap. (although the product is probably the same but we just love being ripped off in the UK)

I love black and gold combo, just keep it clean!

Remove labels, you use your tools enough you won't need them. Takes away from the shine of the box.

Keep it up!

I like the black but not a fan of gold, but then again, it's not mine. It's a nice sized box that should last you a long time. Keep working on filling it up.

Not a huge fan of the gold with the black but it's better than my cheapo Craftsman 26 inch stack. You should retake some of those pics so they're not so blurry and add them all to the "Lets see your toolbox," thread.

dont waste money on labels, you know what is your drawers.."fromunda cheese" JK! But seriously, there is really no need for labels unless it is a shared box...or you are completely stoned! JMO, but I dont like labels, you really dont need them...Hell, I dont even put stickers on boxes anymore. If you want to really organize look at threads here about plier/wrench racks. Im looking at my plier drawer in my cart, and it is a mess..I could free up a lot of room with a rack cut out of a dish drying rack, or something similar..as soon as I get time, it is a priority for me! Good looking box! You are off to a great start...and welcome to the mayhem of Garage Journal!!

Good looking box and a good start too. What about a selection of punches and cold chisels? Good general use items.
As far as labeling drawers, I don't mark mine at work because I don't want people digging in my drawers. I've reorganized several times too and peeling off the old stickers would have been a hassle too.

I like it. I've got a old Clarke box at home, and it's really well built. Mine was even the entry level with friction slides, and it's still better than most out there.

I like the black and gold and it looks good. Too flashy for me, but then again, my red box is too flashy for me, so what does that tell you.

Good luck in your tool shopping!
