Short-length box end wrench with a 1/2" (or whatever size) drive on the other end, designed to be used like a crow's foot wrench on the end of a ratchet or torque wrench?

Anyone know if anyone makes them in 3/4" Drive? I need a relatively large one. 3/4" drive and 30mm.

To be a true torque adapter all sizes need to be the same length. Mac and others make a set of varying lengths to use around obstructions. Snap-on used to make both true torque adapters and the varying length like Mac.

No, you just use them at 90 degrees.

Snap-on quoted a formula based on the length. I'm not an engineer, so please enlighten me on how the 90° works.

90 degrees works because you aren't changing the effective length. If you make it longer you get more leverage.

In that equation at any length of torque adapter the torque applied to the fastener is the same as the torque wrench torque if the torque wrench is 90 degrees from the torque adapter.

sin (90°) = 1

So, at 90°, the equation will show you that the torque is unchanged, regardless of the change in torque wrench length.

This is because offsetting the lever arm makes no change in its effective length (which is where the torque comes from).
