I'm searching for hardware that I don't know what it is called.
I have a M6 threaded thumbscrew that goes through a hole in a plate of metal that mates to another piece with a threaded hole. This is meant to be removed/installed repeatedly. So, I don't want the thumbscrew to get lost or fall out of the hole when the piece is removed. There's a type of washer, that looks like an upside down cone with a hole in it that you can put on the threads of the screw so that it won't fall out of the hole. What do you call this so I can search online to buy some?
