So I was on Kijiji tonight and found a Clarke mig welder 100E for sale for a $150 bucks. I know its not the best welder but for the money what do you guys think. I don't want to buy a big welder yet cause it won't get very much uses but at least I can stick two pices of metal with it. I know that Clarke just went out of business and I will have a hard time getting parts but for that price I have spent more on dumber things.

That's a coincidence. I'm just about to list my Clarke 110E on Kijiji. I bought mine in 1989 and it's been a great little welder. I just replaced it with a Lincoln 180. The Clarke has been good for sheet metal repair and light duty fabrication like the cart I made for it. I was thinking of listing it for $125 with the cart but no bottle. As for parts, I have never had to replace anything so hopefully that's a good sign. If you buy it and need a manual I would be happy to send you a .pdf copy.

Picked up a Lincoln 125 for $115. Those smaller FCAW units are fine for thin steel (make sure it'll do the thicknesses you want). Easy to use, easy to learn, and good resale value.
