Here is a little bid of **** on one beam at my shop....the air hoist is over a bench...sad part is my shop only gets used when I build a bike for myself. So I made the shop for grinding and welding and my garage at the house dustless for finish work....and yes the dragster is sitting above my office...lol

I don't think stuff hanging from a structural beam is quite "hanging off the ceiling.
There are plenty of guys here that have hung stuff off their ceiling.
I am sure they will be along shortly to show off their handiwork.

It is almost a question of what do I not hang off the ceiling. I have lawn trailer and aerator. Pipe and wood storage. I am thinking about a few of those 4 x 4 pulley systems to raise up loads of the wife's storage containers and remove the shelving that is eating up the shop. Their is a lot of valuable space to be used above so be creative and open up the floor space.

Well that is obvious. I also have hanging power points, Banners and Flags hanging from mine.

I do have a chain hoist.
Otherwise, just seldom used extension ladders and seasonal stuff.
(Pool tools and snow shovels)

Bronson, what do you use to hang the kayak in the garage. I bought one for my better half and am having trouble with how to store it. I tried a bicycle lift and that seems to be un-workable. Thanks

I hang two kayaks, several bikes and some shelves. I had to modify the bicycle lifts with junction box covers in order to get the kayaks high enough. The pics aren't uploading but I will try again.

Here is a pic of the bicycle lift mod, including tent stakes.

A fish.

EDIT I decided to snap a picture of my fish and realized it has a leak. I got the ladder out to inflate it a bit and could hear air coming out of it. I had to take it down after the picture and try to make a repair.

Garage door opener, and in season a gambrel to hang deer. Lots of unused space for me. This year I will hang an electric winch for pulling outboards, and some storage for canoes possibly.

My new 40,000 BTU 10' radiant NG Tube Heater. Some Bikes, Yikima Cargo box and some new storage racks/197 liter containers in the wasted space above where the garage door rolls up.
