Hello guys. Just as the title sais.. what do you know about BGS technic tools? Where the tools are made?
I have a 192pc set with 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 ratchets, sockets and bits from them and they work very well, but they seem very cheap comparing them with some of the tools i see here on the forum.
On the packaging is written in german but there is no country of manufacturing..
Here's a pic with the set.

Does someone else here use BGS tools? How they last in time? ec16e4eb8d27ef1c33482a0eb1a6ba88.jpg

Those are likely Taiwan, that set is rebranded alot. They are fine for home and hobbyist use. You can buy sockets with higher quality, but a similar bunch of tools in something like hazet or stahliwille will cost you $1000-1500 dollars.

Compare quality to proxxon, some imported bahco sets etc.

China would be my guess. Most of them work just fine, you can find better bits and such but the sockets usually hold up quite well.

Paid for them ~115$ on a tool truck. They say these are tools for professional use.. i don't think so, but they worked for me very well until now. I have the set for 3 months now. I'm very curious how they will last in time.

But how about the price? It was right to pay $115 for them?

Those sets are very usable, much more usable to do actual work than many cheap sets. The case is nice and stores all of the bits and bits sockets together, unlike cases that don't take into account how essential those fasteners are in a modern setting.

(That ktms kit is like $125-130 in us which is overpriced a bit being only a 3/8 kt, I would say you did just fine with yours being the bigger 1/4+1/2 kit).

Wow... now i see that all of the toolshops in my country are lying about the price of this set. They say its ~$235, and they put it on sale with $115 and say its a limited offer :))...
Things like that always happens in a country where a $2 screwdriver is considered expensive.
No one knows what good tools are and you can hardly find any, and all the sh*t is overpriced and considered "professional tools".
