It seems like Lowes is all over the place with "house" brands - Craftsman (sorta), Kobalt, Flex, etc. on top of Skil, Porter Cable, Metabo, B&D, Bosch, Metabo, and Dewalt. I didn't trust non-diversified brands any more after Craftsman tanked the C3 line. The multitude of brands they carry and how the seem to be jumping around with Craftsman, Kobalt and now Flex gives me zero trust at all. :eek7:

I have a feeling Flex is going to replace one of these at Lowe's. Likely whichever one is selling the least.

I don't see Flex making that much of a splash though. At this point, they would have to blow everyone else out of the water in order to convince customers to switch. Existing users are already committed to one or two platforms, and have little interest in dipping their toes in a new pool. New power tool users are already drowning in a sea of choices, so I don't think too many will choose a virtually unknown brand. They would rather ride a more established wave.

I'm out of water analogies.

Some tests show they are good, but their longevity has yet to be seen. I already have 2 platforms, so not going to add a 3rd.

Well they are targeting the pro market, not average prosumer. So they better have some very good convincing points for people to jump over.

So far it’s doesn’t seems it’s the pricing, or the warranty after the fine prints and stringent requirement of original receipts..... even if you registered with them within the 30 days....

Remind me of that channel flock warranty.

Yep, why would anyone want a 24V power tool, set, available in nearly every larger city, with a lifetime Warranty? :headscrat:

No one here even cares about power tool warranties.

MILWAUKEE with 3.0 High Output battery vs FLEX 24-VOLT impact driver review:

Flex loses to MILWAUKEE with High Output batteries.

I think Flex should offer a limited time rebate to entice people to buy their products. You have to get the tools in the hands of consumers not just advertise that you are the best.
Milwaukee and Dewalt are always running deals at Home Depot. It is hard to get people to buy a new brand when there are no rebates, discounts or sales.
