Good evening

I would like to thank everybody for sharing your knowledge with me. I appreciated your help on my older post for 1 1/16 and 1 3/16 sockets use.

Please let me know what 1 1/4 size socket or wrench is used for.

A great deal of the equipment at work is moveable to accommodate different line set-ups. Some of it has large threaded bolts that screw down to the floor to keep the equipment stationary while in use. These bolt heads are 1 1/4" and I keep a socket/ratchet drive them.

If you use the Astro pneumatic on knuckle bearing press, or hub puller, you will need it, or 32mm.
I have a proto 1 1/4" wrench specifically for these 2 applications so I can use the wrench as a breaker bar while I crank a bearing out. When you start getting into those sizes it's almost job specific. Buy impact sockets first. Wrenches...proto and wright make good products that won't break the bank and you can depend on. Hell a lot of impact sockets I have say Pittsburgh on them and are at least a decade old, they have never broken on me, yet. I lie I've snapped off a few adapters 1/2 to 3/8 for example.

#12 JIC hydraulic fittings

Snap-on 1 1/4" angle wrench and a old Vulcan 1 1/4"combination. Vulcan was a tool truck brand made in the same factory as J.H. Williams

Isn't that the size of the nut on a 2" hitch ball?

Edit: nope, looks like 1-1/8 or 1-1/2

Before I retired, I used 1 1/4",1 1/16, 1 1/8 on pipe flanges in the boilerhouse at the plant. Sometimes bigger, but those were the most used sizes.

Some of the nuts for Cat 1 lift arm pin 7/8" (22mm dia ) x 14tpi thread are 1-1/4" tho not all some are 1 5/16" nut (and that might be a bolt standard)

The axle bolt "head" on my old 76 Shovelhead Harley is 1-1/4" (the "nut" is only 1-1/16")

I know one of the JD tractors at work the 5095 1-1/4" fits the wheel lugs too

Thank you!
Greatly appreciate it!
WittHay, nice wrenches! Never saw Vulcan in real life - will have to keep my eyes open once the yard sales will start in 2-3 months.
