What do you use a 2 3/8" axle nut socket for?

The girlfriend just gave me my V-day stuff and one of the things she gave me was a 2 9/16" axle nut socket for my trucks dana 60. However she almost ended up with a 2 3/8" axle nut socket. I know I have seen a lot of 2 3/8" axle nut sockets for sale in pawn shops but I have never seen an axle that needed one.

So what are the applications for a 2 3/8" axle nut socket.

My 94 Ford Explorer with auto-locking hubs uses it. Well, it used it once, to take off the spindle nuts that are used with those junk hubs. The manual locking hubs used something else (one of those sockets with the four pins). This front end is a Dana 35 TTB. This would also be used on 90-94 Rangers, Mountaineers, and possible some Mazda stuff. Maybe Bronco 2's. I assume that this is the special stamped & welded socket, not just a big ol' 2 3/8" 12-pt deally. The regular socket actually won't work in those apps, FYI.

That explains it. I have a couple of the 4 pin type (one for almost everything and one for a Dana 50 TTB) so I have seen those before. I haven't ever seen a front end with a nut like that though.
