Just like every other socket, I use my 4.5mm on a ratchet.

I just wanted to jump in on the smart **** replies and offer no help. Also, the only reason I have a 4.5mm socket is because the socket tray has a spot for it and I suffer from the standard OCD running rampant in this forum.

I don't remember what for, but I used my 4.5mm socket before. I remember thinking how I was glad to have that odd size.

I got one, I was a GM mechanic but I don't remember what it was for. Possibly a distributor cap as the above post.

I ran into a 4.5mm fastener inside a DVD player. Not a common size but my organizer had a space for it so I had to get one to fill in the empty spot!

hmm... seems like 4.5mm is on alot of things. I wonder why it isn't included in more socket sets:headscrat

It's been a while but seems like Ford TFI ignition modules might have used them. I remember having to buy a particular socket for them back in the day.
