Hi Guys, here is a trick I learned at a swap meet. Beeswax. I tried the electrolosis method to remove rust from a crescent wrench I found at the dump. After it was cleaned I heated it slightly with a propane torch and melted a chunk of beeswax against the warm metal. I wiped off the excess with a rag. The tool felt kinda satinly smooth. The wax fills the porous surface and inhibits rust. I left the wrench out in the rain for two weeks next to an untreated piece of steel and the results were suprising, little spots compared to orange coating. I didn't takes pics, sorry. It is an option worth trying, you don't have to worry about getting oil on things you don't want to.
