Mine is 1/4 gym, 1/4 home theater, and the other half is garage:
i just did drylock on approx 1/2 of my basement walls.
oh the joy of painting with stuff thats the consistancy of warm peanut butter.
3/4 of my basement is living quarters for my mom.
she has macular degeneration in both eyes, not able to drive or work, and with only her SS she can no longer live on her own.
the other 1/3rd of the basement has my 12x20 reloading/hobby room, laundry/boiler room, and bathroom.
we storedecorations under the stairs, camping gear is in another small room with the water softener.
just about everything else we had stored down there is getting garage sale'd next month

Laundry, storage, furnace room, TV room and home office. The house is 101 years old and having a fully usable basement is a major plus. It's nice and dry down there, too.

Mine is currently used for my wifes business. It is full of about 75 fishtanks, from 10 gallon up to 225 gallon. She imports and sells aquarium critters - micro fish, shrimp, snails etc. Getting ready to build her a "fish hut" building so that she can expand and we can finish the basement for more living space. Pictures kinda small, but it's all I've got at the moment. Oh, and moisture hasn't been an issue, and you can't tell there is that much stuff in my house. 2 big dehumidifiers running full bore 24-7, with a 3rd for backup in case one goes down. The only issue so far has been the electric bill.
Youch!
