About six months ago I purchased some magnet bars from harbor freight because they were on sale. I couldn't figure out what to do with them until today. I'm now using mine to hold some hammers and was able to empty a draw in my box. I have another set of magnet bars and don't want to wait another 6 months to figure what to do with them. What do you use your magnet bars for?

I have a few of these that I have yet to mount as I haven't found the right spot yet. I did try mounting one to the edge of a shelf with foam tape, but that fell off. Definitely need to screw/bolt them in place. Ironically, they don't stick to metal from the back.

I didn't like the label on the front, so I ran a strip of electrical tape over it which greatly improved the look.

I have several attached to my Kwik-Lift, on the inside, outside and at the front. They do have to be mounted so they clear the sliding bridge(s) but they do come in handy for holding tools that would otherwise roll around on the floor.

wtf. I bought a couple from HF years ago. They can't even hold a screwdriver. I have no use for them. That must be the updated model

My wife bought one of those for her art room a while back. It didn't work out, so she gave it to me. I still haven't found a use for it so it still hangs on the wall in the shop. I did however find a use for one of those old Craftsman magnetic pads.........

I have magnet bars mounted to the front of a full length shelf that is mounted 18" above my workbench. I use them when working on a project to keep tools off my workbench and in plain sight. This has worked really well for me. There are a few tools that I commonly use from day to day that stay on the magnet bars. Most of my tools are put up in my tool chest when I am finished with a project. I also have a magnet bar mounted just inside the top tray of my tool cart. Iuse it for holding loose hardware as I disassemble projeccts. I attached pictures of my workbench magnet bars and the tool cart.

That's a good idea. I turned down a bunch of free ones because I don't want to store my tools on them. I never thought about temporary storage while working on a project. My bench gets so crowded with some projects, that sometimes I lose track of odd tools that I've set down.

I keep them above my tear down bench. I like to keep my tools on it, so they are not laying in the oil running out of the transmissions and engines and transfer cases. Keith
