Found a great use for the 8" pair today..spinning drag link sleeves if you don't have the tool for them. This is provided that said sleeve will in fact spin and hasn't become one with the drag link..

Mostly for destruction of rounded fasteners as they bite very hard. Used them tonight to pull out two bolts I had to cut the head off of.

I have a small pair 150mm??? I carry them daily as a gas plant operator. I also carry a 8" crescent wrench. I use these two tools constantly

-tubing fittings
-ball valves without handles
-pipe plugs and bushings
-balancing our slow speed cooper engines
-flange bolts when the nut comes off the wrong side
-picking up pipeline pigs when I forget my gloves
-hitting items until they function or break so I can get it fixed right...kidding...maybe lol
-open cold beverage upon arrival home

I am thinking about getting one after seeing the review on Youtube.
Basically they put visegrip feature on a channellock pliers.
Anybody still use visegrip along with Knipex Cobra?

They're pimped out Channellocks, but they do not replace a locking plier. The only thing "locking" about the Knipex Cobras are the jaw positions.

Agreed.

Knpiex bite really hard and thus marr the work very easily.
Channellock (standard profile), don't bite as hard and won't marr as easily.
Vise grips while can be used in a few overlapping situations as the above, the hands free clamping they provide is different.

Removing old hose remains on a fitting I need to reuse, the cobra just bites it off.

My uses of cobra...
1. 10" cobra - to adjust spark plug gap. Easy to adjust by opening it fully and with spark plug being held between the jaws, a gentle controlled squeeze gives the desired electrode gap.
2. Open tight bottles, just another use of knipex cobra when feeling bit lazy.
3. On Hose clamps of vehicles.
4. Finding some more creative and usefull uses...
