Came home yesterday evening to find this stake labeled transformer in my yard. My next door neighbor also has one plus the cubicle stake. What does this mean the poco is going to do? We haven’t heard about any changes.

Some more details that may be relevant: The neighborhood was built in the 50s. We have above ground utilities at the street. Most also run above ground to the house, but some of us have buried them from the street. If there is ice or snow, power can be out for days as the big trees take down the lines.

That’s the only thing I could think of that made sense. I never expected them to do this though. And if they are, I would have thought they would have let us know somehow. I will be happily surprised if they do bury the lines.

They may have let you know. Many times these announcements are made in the local newspaper.

Not sure the first stake says "cubicle". It looks like CUBT / CLE. CLE often stands for "center line excavation", i.e. the center line of the ditch to be dug. Not sure what CUBT could mean.

Wow, you could be right. If only we knew what CUBT meant. I do not suggest a google search as B is very close to N on the keyboard.

I asked the city councilman if he knew anything. He said a street the next block over was getting sidewalks.

I just think the Guy w the Magic Marker has poor lettering skills, like me.

Needs to practice his Capitol "I"'s.

Or, maybe means CL of future Xformer, like hypothesized above.

Either way, looks like you're going underground.
