Let me guess? There is a Corvette under that cover? My guess is a 1978?

Dan

Close. It's a 1980.

This is the most important side of th3e garage. Have other junk around like license plates and bear stuff and outdoor things.

when i lived with my parents home, i has my dad's garage and it was way crowds of my toolboxes and stuff... there is a picture of after i got moved in my own property...

i am trying to keep it in place and nice not mess area..

this spring as when temperature are over 60 degree, i will need to remove all roof shingles out as has a bad plywood as rotten... i have to replace few of plywoods and do prevention stuff on it before put it back on with new shingles...

then i am consider about do set a concrete front of my garage so i can put my Cummins on it and jack up if i need to fix or repairs on it because it is very barely to fit in my garage because of dually... so i want to have a concrete so if it is beautiful outside which i do like to work outside or big truck that cant fit in my garage.. i am planning to build the taller and wider pole barn so i can put a big lift in and storage of my Cummins for winter time...

Love the snap on box. Kind of reminds me of the menards masterforce cause of the green.

I am pretty much a neat freak so my garage is always clean. However I do have a bunch of my kids stuff such as big wheels, scooters and bikes that are all on the floor and it drives me crazy.

I would love for my garage to look spotless like this:
slide6.jpg

I am thinking about putting some shelving and cabinets up to get everything off the floor but I don't know if I want to try and do it myself or hire someone to do it.

I found the following company that is local to where I live that looks like a great option if I have someone do it, but I need to check the cost

Local Dallas Company: Garaginization

I am also looking at these for Cabinets: Garage Storage Cabinets

Would it be hard to install stuff like this myself or should I let the professionals do it?

Mine looks like a 52 GMC blew up, a 38 Chevy and 68 GTO that are dusty and don't get driven enough, four tool boxes, lots of shelves filled with ****, couple benches and floor tools, many car parts and a lot of mess. I really need to clean things up!

Better than Mickey's, worse than Don's.

Here's the only pics I have of mine. Couple years ago. It has since been organized and messy again-Twice! For some unforseen reason :willy_nil...First pic is looking from the back out, 2nd pic is looking in...I'll try to get new ones this week as I clean and organize. Seems the more stuff I move out and get rid of, the more I seem to get.:dunno:

This is my current work area. It's terrible, I know, but I should be moving into a better facility if all goes to plan.

Technically not pole barn, steel building but have another for storage, keep the shop to work in. If I am not currently working on it out it goes unless something needs to be kept from freezing. Have another basement with shelves for all the little stuff too good to toss but don't want cluttering shop.

Middle of the road, but this is just the bike shop. Cars are in the other garage...

I've started to separate the shop into clean and dirty sides - and areas. this is my engine build area:

You guys with pole barns KILL me. Color me jealous.

ditto, but if I had all that space it'd just be a cluttered mess just like my little 3 car.
Speaking of, since when was a 17' deep garage normal? Really how much could it possibly cost to build the garage an extra 5 feet deep?

I originally posted these in my introduction, but that has been about three years now so here they are again.

Mike.

I have a 2-car garage attached to the house but the shop is detached and is 34'x34' and sits about 40' behind the house to the front of the shop. I have a driveway that goes alongside the attached garage to the shop in the backyard. The home and shop are not as large and fancy as many on the forum. They are both modestly sized and fit our family perfectly and we are extremely happy here. Sometimes I wish for a larger shop so I could park our motorhome inside but for the most part I love everything about our home. The shop is not as clean/sano as many on here but it is a true working shop as my wife, son and I operate a small performance business out of our home shop.

Here is the front of the shop.

Back right corner of the shop. This is the ATV/motorcycle portion of the shop equiped with two motorcycle/ATV lifts. Enclosed closet is where the 60 gallon vertical air compressor is located to reduce noise. Also some small shelves for additional storage.
